How many Americans are going to become part of Obama’s “corps”. Do you find this trend worrisome?
On July 20, 2008, during his Presidential campaign, Senator Obama 2008 stated, “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” (emphasis added)
The immediate question should have been “who is this protecting –and from whom?” But this astonishing proposal received almost no attention from the media.
Also getting very little attention are the three pages of the Health Care Bill creating a Ready Reserve Corps for service in time of national emergency. The executive branch is authorized to expand the Commisioned Corps beyond the previous limit of 2800 individuals. The words “not to exceed 2800″ are struck from the law and it establishes a “Ready Reserve Corps” without a cap on numbers or funding! The Commisioned and Ready Reserve Corps can be called to involuntary service in time of “national emergency”. The language in the bill is below.
Then there is the huge expansion of Americorps last year. At the time, Senator DeMint said the proposed expansion of AmeriCorps would make its parent, the Corporation for National and Community Service, the 14th-largest company in the world, in terms of number of employees.
According to an article in the San Francisco Examiner, that bill intends to “combine the best practices of civilian service with the best aspects of military service,” while establishing “campuses” that serve as “operational headquarters,” complete with “superintendents” and “uniforms” for all participants. It allows for the elimination of all age restrictions in order to involve Americans at all stages of life. And, it calls for the creation of “a permanent cadre” in a “National Community Civilian Corps.”
Is it off base to be worrying about the opportunity for indoctrination that all of this permits?

The speech by Obama was given on 7/2/2008 not 7/20/2008 at Colorado Springs, Colorado. The text released to the papers did not contain the statement about the “Civilian Defense Force”, but luckily someone had taken video of the full speech and uploaded it to youtube.
The changed portion of the speech was then changed back to the original. Plenty of documentation on this, including the video and the two CO. newspapers.
This (so called) Healthcare bill is nothing but a disguised document designed to take away every right we have and make us all servants of the Federal Government. Saul Alinsky, and even Karl Marx, would be so proud.
